On March 2, MFA students Michael Hock and Rose Fitzpatrick joined NVWP Director Leslie Goetsch (MFA '16) and Graduate Admissions Coordinator Holly Mason (MFA '17) to teach creative writing workshops to 2nd and 6th graders at Camelot Elementary School in Annandale, VA
This event is hopefully one of many to come where our MFA students will be able to share their love of creative writing with grade school kids, as Leslie and Holly are working together to revamp our Mason Writers in the Schools program (WITS).
Camelot Elementary School administrator, Andrea Rubin, said "I think these pictures capture how engaged and happy the students were! When I asked them about it afterwards, the most common response was that the visit was 'fun'!"
